Who can purchase your services?

Any Shopify merchant can purchase our services, regardless of location, store size, or stage of business.

We welcome first-time store owners, independent businesses, and established brands.

What kind of Shopify work do you handle?

We handle Shopify bug fixes, custom theme sections, app integrations, store setup, and other focused storefront improvements.

Larger or less predictable work is handled through a custom quote.

Can you work with customized Shopify themes?

Yes. We work with Shopify Online Store 2.0 themes, including themes with existing customizations.

We review the relevant code first because older changes, app code, and theme updates can affect the scope.

What if I am not sure which service fits my request?

If your requirement clearly matches one of our fixed-scope services, you can order directly.

If you are unsure, or the work involves several connected requirements, send us the details first. We will help you choose the right service or provide a custom quote. We will not add unapproved work or charges to an existing order.

Can I change or add to the scope after I order?

Of course. You are welcome to add or change your requirements at any time.

We will review the updated scope and let you know how it affects the price and timeframe before moving forward. Nothing will be added or charged without your approval.

When will work begin?

We start looking into your request and planning the solution as soon as you order. Once we have the access and details we need, we complete the work within the expected timeframe.

What access will you need?

The required access depends on the task.

We normally request only the Shopify permissions and app access needed to complete the agreed work. We may also ask for affected URLs, screenshots, screen recordings, or steps to reproduce the problem.

You should never send your Shopify password by email.

Will you work directly on my live theme?

Not unless the task requires it.

Where possible, we prepare and test changes away from the published theme before they go live. We will confirm the safest approach first.

What counts as one bug?

One bug is one clearly defined issue with one expected outcome.

For example, a cart button that does not respond is one issue. An unrelated mobile menu problem is a separate issue.

How long does a bug fix take?

Most eligible bug fixes are completed within 24 hours after we receive the required access and information.

Complex issues, delayed access, third-party app support, or additional scope may take longer. We will let you know if the original timeline changes.

Do you provide support after delivery?

Yes. We maintain code delivered by CheckoutWorks at no extra cost as long as it remains unchanged by third parties, apps, or theme upgrades.

New requests or problems caused by later changes require a separate review.

What if I am not satisfied with the work?

Contact us within 30 days of delivery. We will revise the work at no extra cost within the agreed scope.

If you are still not satisfied after giving us a reasonable chance to make it right, we will refund the service fee paid for the affected service.

Who is behind CheckoutWorks?

CheckoutWorks was founded by Johnny Chen, a developer with more than a decade of experience who is also a Shopify merchant.

That gives us both technical experience and a practical understanding of running an online store.

Where is CheckoutWorks based?

CheckoutWorks is a fully remote Shopify development agency serving merchants worldwide.

The business is operated by GALE INNOVATIONS LLC, a company registered in Wyoming, United States.

Do you outsource Shopify development?

Our core Shopify delivery is not outsourced.

Technical diagnosis, development, code review, and QA are handled directly by CheckoutWorks.

How do you use AI in client work?

We use AI as a development tool for research, investigation, and routine tasks. It does not replace technical judgment or make final decisions. A CheckoutWorks developer reviews and tests every change and remains responsible for the final delivery.

Why should I hire CheckoutWorks when I can use AI?

AI is most useful when the person using it knows what to ask, what to trust, and what to reject. CheckoutWorks brings that Shopify expertise, then implements and tests the solution on your store. You get the speed of modern tools with less trial and error, and a developer accountable for the result.
